primo on MIO C310

Postby dannyu » Sat Sep 04, 2010 8:35 pm

Hi all,
After successfully running IGO-8 on my C310, I'm trying to upgrade
to PRIMO. I have a working version which ws tested on my C320 unit.
I've spent a lot of time with no success so far.
I've simply used the same version which I used on the C320, but the
resolution is looking very poor. The dat.zip file I have doesn't contains
320X240 resolution folder, so I copied that from my IGO8 version.
Still with no success.

I'd appriciate any idea of how to over come this issue.
If anyone has done this, maybe he'll be able to upload his full verison (without content) so I'll be able to download it.

Thank you all,
Danny

You cannot use a data.zip from igo8 in Primo (two different programs means they need their own data.zips). I am not sure what the best 320x240 data.zip would be for your c310. You'll need to ask someone else that uses Primo with that screen resolution. However, on your c320 you should be using the original Primo data.zip, since it comes as 480x272 resolution and is perfect for your c320. As I said, for the c310 you'll need one of the skins for Primo to replace the original data.zip.... and no there is no one data.zip that I am aware of that you can use in both devices. Probably best to use the original 480x272 data.zip for your c320 and maybe gurjon's 320x240 skin for your c310. That or keep using igo8 on your c310 (which is what I am doing) until an official 320x240 data.zip comes ut from NNG.

There are some 320x240 skin for Primo, but none by Gurjon.
And those skins are only for Primo 1.0. I am not aware of any skin for 1.1, unless published in the last hours.
As for a working 320*240 data.zip : [Please Register or Login to download file]
Rename to data.zip before replacing the original one

Thanks, Nabi

I've downloaded the file and indeed it supports the 320X240 resolution.
I think I lso need to modify sys.txt file as well.
I'll test it and report back.
