Primo showing wrong speed limits.

Primo showing wrong speed limits.

Postby satnavsurvivor » Thu Oct 06, 2011 3:01 pm

Hi All, I'm running IGo Primo on a View Quest 4.3 WE model with 2 GB internal memory Win CE6. My problem is that the speed is showing 96 when it should read 60mph. I have tried changing the settings from MPH to KLM and the speed limit is showing 154. Can any one shed any light on this?
many thanks,

Such a thing is almost always a map issue. Speed limits come from the map files. Not Primo, not satellites, etc.
There was a particular release of Teleatlas maps that were particularly bad at this in certain regions.
If you are using Teleatlas, try a Navteq map for the same area, if possible, and see if the results are the same. And vice-versa.

PS. If it is Europe maps that you use, the latest are here (if you are using older releases, a newer release may also solve your problem):

There was a bug that i encountered in the first release of Primo where the MPH speed was displayed in KPH, So in a 30MPH zone the displayed speed limit was 48MPH, This affected the speed camera warning as well, Installing a skin corrected it.

many thanks Yurbuh Tuggly, Just downloading. Maps I used were 2010.12
I'll post with result.
For Fatboyfun, Thanks for suggestion. Tried a different skin without sucess so I presume that Yurbuh Tuggly has put his fingure on it.
