As Chas521 said above, go outside and see.
In that particular Primo 1.2 package, there is NO setting for [GPS] in sys.txt, because that version is usually pretty good at figuring things out on it's own. Maybe not for all devices, but for most.
If, after 15-20 minutes (sometimes longer) of clear view outside no satellites are yet picked up, you may need to add in the [GPS] section in sys.txt the exact same way it is in your iGo8 install. Note: not all of sys.txt from iGo8, just the [GPS] section.

i`m gonna try the Histspeed files and see what happens.

Are there different ones for different countries or the same for around the world ?

I found this one Histspeed files for iGOPrimo SMART ROUTE.

Do i have to add settings to my sys.txt for the speedcam to work, the off button or other things ?

I make a thread for igo Primo smart route- Hitspeed here:
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?7970-Histspeed-files-for-iGOPrimo-SMART-ROUTE

You must add the following to your sys.txt:
[route.histspeed]
enabled=1
show=1
use_timeslice=1

[route.histspeed.timeslice]
day=1
hour=8
minute=1

If you don't see the exit button then you must add to sys.txt:

[interface]
show_exit=1

If you like to listen the speedcam warning and the street names announced then you can add TTS Pro Nuance , you can get it here at navitotal:
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?6962-iGO-Primo-1.2-Nuance-TTS-Pro-Voices

Or if you like to listen loquendo TTS Pro voices you can get it here at navitotal :
http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?7791-iGO-Primo1.2-TTS-Pro-loquendo-voices
But you must add the following to your sys.txt:

Futhermore you must add the following to your sys.txt in order TTS could be more efficience;

[tts]
tts_buffer=131072
announce_exit_directions=1
tts_logics=3
priority="HIGH"
always_say_road_names=3
announce_street_name=1
skip_exit_numbers=0

[dynamiccompressor]
compressor=1
ratio=9
gain=9

[sound]
maneuver_chimes=0
queue_length=200
mute_os_key=1
pause_mp3_sooner=1

[debug]
sound_q_length=200
tts_min_ready_wav=1
tts_getaway_time=100
tts_expected_engine_delay=1400

[route]
guidance_at_highway_entry=1

I don't know your country but if you don't here well the announced of the speedcameras then you should go to :
Primo/content/voice/nameofvoice

Pick the nameofvoice open it with winrar(do not extract it) and then go the file dictionary.voice open it with a notpad and copy this
Caution speed camera ahead="in your language Caution speed camera ahead"
Caution mobile speed camera ahead="in your language Caution mobile speed camera ahead"
etc, etc.

Give a try.

bazzle,

i`m still trying to work out these speedcam warnings for Primo and iGO8.

Thought i had iGO8 working properly but my warnings are not working.

In the sys.txt of both iGO8 & Primo would this work.

[sound]
ding=1

[warning]
speedcam_enabled=1
speedcam_warning=1

Back-up your sys.txt and delete from your SD card. Copy and paste mine to your SD card and see. Mine works 100%, so should yours. BTW, did you notice that I have all my navs on one SD card? Also, I have a partial Australian speedcam .txt file. Do you want it?

No, copy my entire sys.txt. If you need your device specific entry[s] make them also.
