Primo uses exactly the same content as iGO8, but with Primo you can have driver alerts and histspeed (IQ Routes)

I think that navguy is trying to limit the amount of content so as not to overtax the memory and get error messages. With that in mind, ONLY use content that is absolutely necessary. Maps are necessary, POIs are necessary, voices are necessary, languages are necessary.

Not so much necessary:
Buildings
DEMS
Speedcams [if you need them keep the area to a small area. In your case not all Australia]
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Ummmmmm....you already HAVE them in your iGo8 install. Just copy them to the Primo folder in the same ../content subfolders.
No need to re-download.

The TXT file only, yes. Primo will build a new speedcam.spdb file on the next start (do not copy the *.spdb file from iGo8).

Probably not. If they do, (when you create a route) take them back out.

Just know that speedcamupdates.spud are speedcams that you have manually entered and have nothing to do with the original .txt file. You can either copy them back to your PC and later recopy them back to content\speedcam or just leave there to begin with.

Thanks guys. I just turned my satnav off then back on and it works.

Fatboyfun, that program WinCE Shortcut Generator makes it easy for me to setup. Do i have to keep that program in the folder ?

I wont worry about hitspeed.

What about the GPS setup, is that automatic or do i have to set it up ?

Tomorrow i will go for a drive and test it out.

Have you taken your device outdoors yet and see if it gets a satellite lock?

1, Only if you want to create shortcuts

2, Backup the entire installation first then try it

3, Enter the same GPS information in Primo's sys.txt as you did in iGO8's sys.txt
