Great!
Have fun with it.

Yeah, the Bluetooth link may eventually come in handy if you want to enable/disable/take calls while Primo is running. Normally then it would pop up on the screen. But this depends how your unit handles the app.

Hmmmmm,

My unit already does that. I wonder if it will conflict?
Time will tell.

Thanks again.

I doubt it. It will just be a link to something that is already running (maybe the bluetooth app on your device runs automatically on start up), and normally in this case it just comes to the front in Primo--not run another copy. From there you would be able to stop it, or minimize/return to background. In any case, it sounds like the link is not that important for you. If you can get to the core WinCE OS and run Task Manager, you should be able to easily identify the name of the Bluetooth app to set the path. It's usually something simple like BT.exe or similar, and would be located in internal storage memory (Resident Flash, My Flash Disk...whatever it may be called on your device) in it's own folder or in the folder of the the other device core files.

Not exactly.
I couldn't remove the branding from your so I loaded the bare-bones of someone else's, but used your maps, voices etc. :)

OK the dealer doesn't know the filename for the BT application. :(

The Dimkawa skin scans & comes up with several exe's but I'm hesitant to point to them in case something goes wrong once the file is executed.
Maybe if I post the list of exe's here we can try to narrow down which one it may be?? :unknw_mini:

I have a copy of Primo, but it's the unit's operating system that concerns me.
The last thing I want is a brick.

Wouldn't hurt. But more revealing would be a list of what is already running from Task Manager (which you can also setup as an External Program within Primo if you can't get to the OS directly).

Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:33 pm

I can get WinCE Control Panel to load by selecting "Control.exe" as the BT app (been there done that in my attempts at finding the right BT app) but the OS core is in Chinese so I don't know where to go from there.

Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:49 pm

WinCE doesn't have a native task manager so here's one...

3222

Due to the Toolhelp.dll issue, there are two versions in the archive, One for WinCE 5 and another for WinCE 6, Use which ever one is suitable for your device...

Go to the Process tab and note down all the processes, and then list them here.

Could this be it?? MobileRemotor.exe

After a quick Google I found some references to it [Please Register or Login to download file] .

More Googling with Google Translator & all references suggest that MobileRemotor.exe is the BT app so I'll point to that one. :)

Cheers.

That certainly seems a likely suspect. Now tap it and see!
BTW: Now that you have a (probably extensive) list in the External Programs in Primo, you can now easily trim that back (or add whatever you want) by looking in {Primo}\Save\userlists.
In that folder you will see a file named user_program_list.txt. Edit that with notepad to remove what you may not need, or add anything that is not listed by specifying the path using the same stucture as those that are shown. You can also remove from the list by accessing External Programs and hitting Delete for each one, but that can be quite tedious.
Example:
Nitrogen;\\My Flash Disk\\Program Files\\Nitrogen\\Nitrogen.exe;;0
This can be any name you want.
FULL path.
Note that every double slash, semicolon, and the zero at the end are significant. And no spaces...unless they are part of the path such as Program Files.
Also, they will show in top to bottom order in External Programs exactly how they are in user_program_list.txt, so put the order how you like.
Edit the text file (after copying it to your PC), delete the one in the Save Folder, then copy back your edited version and restart.
