Primo2.4 Schemes/skins

Thu May 02, 2013 1:00 am

Hi all,

I am running Primo 2.4 & have troubles with loading schemes/skins.
When I go into setup/map display & change day or night colours I gat the error - Cannot find 'ui_igo8/common/trackinglist.spr'

What is causing this?
How do I correct?
What setting do I need?

I have the standard '.zip' files in content/schemes etc.

Thanks

Can you please tell what build of Primo 2.4 are you using? Did you get it from here?
Can you go into more details about the steps you take, what schemes/skins you trying to load?

Hi,

Primo 2.4.9.6.13
Yes, from this site

From main screen Navigation Menu.
Press setting icon - Crossed tools at bottom of screen
Press 'down' to Map settings
Press Day Map Colour
Press 'left arrow'

Error panel is displayed "NAVI" - Failed to open file: ui_igo8/common/trackinglist.spr exiting application
The only option I have is OK

Press Ok

Error panel is displayed "NAVI" - Failed to open file: ui_igo8/common/night/small_flags.spr exiting application

Pless OK,

Then system goes back tp Main Menu - Multimedis - GPS - Setting

I think it is tring to load these ui_igo8 files but I don't have them. I did a find from the directory & it is not there.

Thanks

I was following the flow above (using the defaut skin) with no problem and no error messages.
I'm using this Primo version. What version are you using?

That is the same version that I am using.

I wonder if I have stuffed something.

I will re-download & try another install

Thanks.

What resolution are you using? I'm using 480x272.

I don't think you need to download again.
Install the program only with "Required Base Files", lang and non TTS voice files, your local map, and check again.

ui_igo8 --> ui_igo9 with primo 2.4

Thu May 02, 2013 7:11 am

The above files exist in my data.zip, under \ui_igo9\common. The question is why his program is looking for them in ui_igo8.
"NAVI" - Failed to open file: ui_igo8/common/trackinglist.spr exiting application
"NAVI" - Failed to open file: ui_igo8/common/night/small_flags.spr exiting application

There may be some schemes in your content/schemes folder that are designed for igo8, hence it has references to some files in the ui_igo8\common folder. Please note, primo uses ui_igo9 folder.

Please remove all the schemes on your schemes folder, and try again. If you want to add a custom scheme, make sure it is designed for Primo, not for igo8.

Thank you to everyone who has helped, I have it working now, letting me change the map colours.

My issue now is that I have 61 different items to choose from, most look the same.

To fix the problem I just copied all the files I could find that it was asking for into a folder called iog08. It works Ok except for the above issue.

How can I make it more manageable? Looking in the schemes folder, there are only 8 items.

At least I have a working unit & can now 'play' some more, but a few pointers would be great.

This is a great forum, with plenty of help THANK YOU TO EVERYONE.

Thanks to everyone,

I have it working by creating a folder called ig08\Common etc. & copy all required files to there.

I now have the problem of 61 different schemes to choose from, yet I only have 8 schemes in my scheme folder. How can this be?

Thank you.

Because the others are not recognised for that build.

If I'm not mistaken, all the icon sets for gas station, banks, restaurant etc, already included in Primo 2.4.
All you need to do is turn on these icons as follow:

1. Click: More > Settings > Map Settings > Place Markers
2. Then you can choose what icons you want to show on map (eq: Accomodation, Airport, Automotive etc)
3. If you specifically only want the Gas Stations icon, then you choose Gas Station.

Thats all.
