Sorry to hear that forum post didn't work. I would suggest that you write to dx and ask them for a CD?

OK for the SD card but make sure that you have my recommended sys.txt edits in it. Remove any entry that has to do 480_272 first. Also make sure that you save the new sys.txt first before exiting it. It might take a couple of days before anyone answers in the dx forum. It is a weekend.

Will do.

Can you explain to me what did you mean in your first response by this "Don't forget to delete the save folder." ?

Good! The save folder is where all your personal options are stored. It reads and saves what it is told. Deleting it doesn't hurt anything. A new one is automatically created the next time you start iGO8.

But where can I find that save folder?

The save folder is located in the iGO8 folder.

EDIT: There will be no save folder for the new iGO8 that you are now putting on the SD card because the new program hasn't been started to create one. There will be a save folder on the internal disk from the new download even though it isn't working properly. Hope you understand. Don't delete the save folder from the iGO program that came with the device.

I went to the dx forums and I didn't see any posts from you and your problem. Did you write one?

Good for you. But if you can edit that post I would add this: "I cannot access the GPS device internal disk drive when I connect it to my computer via the USB cable. It does not show up in My Computer. Deal Extreme, do you have a CD for this device which has the files/folders for my device's internal drive? There may be something on it that will help me with this problem. Do you have any idea of what to do? Thanks."

Any replies yet? I see you didn't make the post edit I suggested. There's something else you could try but I'm pretty sure it won't work. But you should try it anyway since you have nothing else right now. http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?10454-Various-Mio-unlocks Mio transfer hack.

A couple pieces of advice: 1. Did you try my suggestion in post #27 about trying the Mio Transfer Hack? 2. Your new post "sounds" like you modified the internal files/folders of the device you bought from DX. Remember, DX is only a sales outlet not a technology support site. Because you modified what they sold you they are not responsible for "fixing" it. You should edit your post deleting everything except that you cannot access the device when it is plugged into your computer via the USB port. Ask for assistance and can anyone help?

See my point.
