You opened my upload in post 44. Copied the mut.dll file to the same folder where the hack is on your computer. And what happened when you tried to execute the hack now?

Thu Nov 29, 2012 10:56 pm

Damn! What about the cedesktop.exe? I don't know how to use it though. My guess is to copy it to your PC and go from there.

Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:03 pm

cedesktop.exe is no a valid Win32 application.

Holy crap!!! Can you put anything on the SD card using a card reader? Put the ce program on that and pray. You can also try connecting the started device to your computer via the USB and keep trying to turn it off and on again. Sometimes that works.

Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:20 pm

]I can put only if I insert it in my mobile phone and/or sd card reader and put it there.

Here are the instructions that i recieved on the other forum but i havet tried it, I asked where to put CeDesktop.exe and noone replied jet.

Really bad if you switched USB mode from ActiveSync to MassStorage, and you now can't access device. If it's a YF or MTK based unit, then they may be a workaround though: You have to create two .ini files directly on SD card, which are Shell.ini and YFAUTORUN.ini. Both supposed to have this inside

\sdmmc\CeDesktop.exe

or whatever app you want to run to get access to WinCE of your device. CeDesktop, a full CE explorer replacement, you can download here (link for CeDesktop.exe is here).

You could run instead of CeDesktop.exe a registry editor of your choice (ex. Tascal Registry editor) to switch device into ActiveSync mode ... (program is old and it doesnt work)

Notice: If CE's internal name of SD-card isn't sdmmc you must replace sdmmc with the correct SD-card's name. (idk how to see the internal sd card name)

Find the file CeDesktop.exe (or Google for it)
Copy this file to a (new) SD-Card.
Rename CeDesktop.exe to your device's .exe.
Reset your device.
Now you get into the WindowsCE Desktop.

Thu Nov 29, 2012 11:29 pm

Did you have your device connected and turned on to your computer when you tried the hack?

Fri Nov 30, 2012 2:07 pm

Yes my device was connected and it was not recognized.
Can you explain this: "Rename CeDesktop.exe to your device's .exe."? What is my devices .exe?

Fri Nov 30, 2012 2:40 pm

And that is where the problem lies. The .exe of your device is the file that actually makes your device operate. Without that name [which you probably don't have] our hands are kinda tied. I can't think of anything else to try. When you deleted everything from the internal drive you really didn't do yourself any favors. Try with your post #55 and let us know what happens. SD card name could be SDCARD, SD CARD, SDMMC, etc. Do a Google search. You might find something.

I will do it later today.
