Problem with iGO8 on the SD

Postby p0c0y0 » Tue Feb 19, 2013 7:13 pm

Hello, I have a problem with a module Avic f-220 that I have recently loaded on an SD the iGO8.

http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12227-I-need-update-Avic-F-220

It works all right, except for the sound, even when the volume turned up very slowly is heard ...

Do you know how I can fix this?

Thanks.

Is there any sound coming from iGO, even if it is faint?

Presumably you've checked all the volume levels within iGO? All that would leave is the wince volume level...

Are you using a mortscript anywhere in the process?

Add that to sys.txt.

For stronger Audio (Voice) on iGO/Primo try to copy this to sys.txt

[sound]
csv_voice_enabled=1
os_volume=255
media_volume=255
media2_volume=255
voice_volume=200
ding_volume=50
ding_muted=1
alert_volume=100
effect_volume=75

Or for Primo if You use TTS

[dynamiccompressor] ;boost TTS voice
compressor=1
a0=56806
thrs=24703
ratio=8
gain=12 ;or higher to 16

a0=56806
thrs=24703
ratio=8
gain=12 ;or higher to 16

works for igo 8.3.5 and Primo2 when Ive done it.
I normally use gain of 8

Should you not ask yourself if it's a hardware limitation or a OS (WindowsCE) limitation?

It may be the default volume is low and the original software set it to maximum, you can set it with a simple mortscript command, I'll post some details in a bit...
