Question about fsp file & a general iGo question

Postby funtoy » Mon Feb 24, 2014 2:52 pm

I downloaded 2013Q2 edition for USA and noticed there is no fsp (speed profile?) file. I assume it is not critical but wonder what are they supposed to do.

A more general question. How often does iGo release map for each region? Are they slowing down because more people are moving to free online navigation apps?

I believe it's a bit like IQ routes.

The main map makers like navteq and TomTom publish the raw data quarterly, and satnav software companies like iGO purchase the raw data and convert it to their format.

Obviously an end user needs to purchase the iGO formatted maps and share them with our community, I'm sure Navngo buy the rights for all four yearly releases, but it's down to someone else to share them with us.
