Question about sys file

Postby voro » Tue Feb 01, 2011 11:40 pm

Hello!

I'm new with iGo Primo before that i used only 8.3. Today i installed Primo onto 2gb sd card so far so good everything seems to work (no out of memory error). I use a Chinese 4,8" gps device.

Question: I checked my sys.txt file and i found only these lines:
[device]
type="navon_N750"

[gps]
Port=2
Baud=4800

usually the sys.txt file is full of lines, but my one is short. I wanted to know is it ok if i change my sys.txt file with these or at least take some lines that might be useful:
[debug]
cache=2048
reserve_memory=2000000
sound_q_length=200
tts_min_ready_wav= 1
tts_getaway_time=100

skip_resume_process=1

skip_resume_process_all=1

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=320
screen_y=240
stretch=1

[sound]

queue_length=200

Thank you!

show=1
use_timeslice=1

[sound]
ding=0
queue_length=200
mute_os_key=1
pause_mp3_sooner=1

[speedcam]
enable_at_startup=1

[tts]
automatic_direction_conversion=1

One question pop up. I have speedcams intsalled. I made simulation test and when the arrow past the speedcam (the speedcam logo was on the map) but the GPS didn't made any warning signal or noise.

Do i have to add this line to my sys.txt:
[speedcam]
enable_at_startup=1

or this:

[warning]
speedcam_enabled=1
speedcam_warning=1

The speedcam warnings only work when you are actually going past a camera, Not in simulation mode.

You need an actual satellite lock. Not in flyover or simulation.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.
