Questions about content folders for iGo Primo and converting

I'm doing my best to figure out what's in the contents folders for iGO Primo.
Some that I don't know about are:
content/fda
content/ftr
and the global_config.zip file in global_config.

The files that are in there are from TeleAtlas Europe and I'm planning on using the NavTeq USA maps which don't have the fda or ftr files.
Is it OK to just not have those? What about global_config.zip? Should I leave that in place.

And...
The NavTeq maps have hnr files. Some of the mods were saying to put the hnr files in content/maps. But, there is a content/hnr folder in the setup I'm using. Should I put the hnr files in there? Does it even matter?

Sorry for what are probably really stupid questions. Please bear with me...

None of those (FDA, FTR,HNR) should be in their own separate folders. I thought I already explained this?
Just because you download something, and files are in particular folders, that is not necessarily the folder structure that iGo/Primo needs or uses.

Without a global_config.zip in the folder \content\global_cfg Primo will not run.

You did explain it which is why I felt bad even asking about it. It was just that the folder setup was for Primo so I was wondering why the files were in those folders.

I will clear out everything except global_cfg and put all the navteq maps, POIs, and hnr files together in the content/maps folder like you recommended which is how they live in the navteq distribution.

Careful there...POI files do not go in content/map. At least not if you want them to be used normally.

I was hoping you would catch that. I figure I'll be experimenting more than a little.

Perhaps this image will help you. It is a typical working Primo folder structure--standard, with no special tools, modifications, or utilities installed.

OK quick noob question.. downloaded the igo maps etc from torrent and created the igo/content/maps etc folders.. when launching I get first a licence key not found, OK found a file on here I can try.. presume that goes inside IGO folder under contents.. next it asks for missing global config file.. where do I find this? and where do I put it

EDIT the licence file from here worked just fine.. just need a global_config file.. please .. anyone have it on it's own or will I ahve to download an entire igo primo just to get it? if so which one, I'm on android.
