Is it possible to have this in either iGo8 or Primo?
I hope someone can chime in Thanks.

If you have the speedcam files that are meant to be used in iGO8 or in Primo (same .txt files) - not the files for TomTom or Garmin (other structure) - then you can.

I do see a speedcam folder with its contents.
Will this show me if there is a red light cam when I'm approaching one at an intersection or so?

What is the contents? Heyn I can't see the file(s) and it could be any file...
And in what program?

Why?
Speedcam.txt is compatible with iGO8 and with Primo and both programs make their own database (that is interchangeable but will show different cams - different speedcam codes used by iGO as by Primo) that is problem n°1.
N°2 is that newer Primo can use other than .txt files.
If it's a speedcam file and IF the speedcam or red light cam is registered in the file, it should show, if your settings are enabled and if you have a satellite lock. You should best drive past one to check this. When no satellite fix, speedcam will not show up on the map.

I will post them up for you to take a look at them.

You'll need to go into your alerts section and activate them as well :)

Thank for the reply.
I did go under alerts, but I didn't see anything about redlight cam or so.
More is just speed cams.

Hello nabi,

This is the build 9.6.2.209584 --- Oct 12, 2011
This is what I have in the speedcam file:
speedcam.spdb
SpeedcamText
SpeedcamUpdates.spud
speedcam
speedcam_usa_canada

The speedcam file (no extension) and speedcam_usa_canada file (no extension) are useless. It must be .txt files.
The spdb and spud files are made by some IGO or some Primo and will work only properly in an IGO or a Primo. This will show when passing the right or wrong camera. However I assume you "made" them in this Primo?
To be sure it's fit for your Primo delete the spdb and spud files
Copy all other files to your PC.
Rename one file at the time to speedcam.txt and place that one in the speedcam folder. Restart Primo and the database will be remade. Test one by one.
Of course it's only useful if the speedcam.txt file is for your area. When you find the one, keep that one. Before that, keep deleting the files as explained.
(I hope I am clear)

OR

ask Chas521 for the most recent USA/Canada speedcam.txt file and place that one and no other in the speedcam folder.

I didn't make them in there. They were there already in the microsdcard. That is why I asked. I will try that as well as you wrote above. I have driven by one redlight camera, but no alert at all.

When they were on the sd and no warning, then :
either the speedcam files are the wrong area
or the speedcams are set up for iGO (and the speedcam code is wrong in Primo, which triggers no warning)
or the file is incomplete (and the speedcam missing, not known)
or your setup is wrong

Hello Nabi,
I will ask Chas521 to upload that for me.
Besides this file{most recent USA/Canada speedcam.txt}, do I need to do anything else?
There are a whole bunch of camera setting with text files on my card aswell.

One file is really all you need unless you are a collector. :tease:
If they exist (and I don't know this because I am not on your continent) speedcam files for the separate states you drive in would also be enough. All that is not really useful (or nice loooking ;) ) or really needed is superfluous. It will have effect on how your device works, refreshes the screen, .... Of course if it's very powerful you won't notice - for now - but you want more, and more, and then your next post will start with "why" or "how come".

No sir. That is why I asked if possible. I have all these files in my sys.text file.
If they aren't needed as you said, I would delete them all.
Better to be safe then sorry :focus:
