Requests--Make your requests for iGo-Primo here

Old in the sense of iGO 8.0? Then you are right. If it's 8.3, then all R3 maps should work.
Unless the program is original and official, then it is limited by the license. Such programs won't allow the new maps, even with a cracked license. In that case, the whole program should be renewed.

I guess nabi is right, the member wrote "igo amigo8.4.2.81333", and I remembered it incorrectly as "8.2.4"...

I overlooked the version 8.4 (Amigo) - which has become rare by the way - but R3 maps are the maps to use on Amigo.
Incidentally, 8.2 was the China version of 8.0, of which - AFAIK - the development is stopped years ago, after a few releases.

For 3 or 4 maps?

I think you confuse things. You don't need a map changer to drive trough different countries. Primo just uses the map it needs.

MapChanger is a utility that allows you to enable and disable the mapset. Maps are made by TomTom/TeleAtlas, Here/Navteq, Sensis , Topmap, Epsilon, etc.
Different companies, thus. A collection (I mean like Europe or part of it) by one mapmaker is a mapset
Some times it's interesting to switch to a map made by a local mapmaker (example Epsilon for Greece) instead of the major mapset because that local one is more detailed. Or the one set is better in cities, the other in the country. That is what MapChanger is for.

I'm really hoping someone can help me out here.

I have a new chinese no-name brand device (MediaTek?) running WinCE6 at 800x480 resolution.

I've tried two different versions of Primo (my previous one that was running on my old - now dead - device at 480x272 resolution - I've since deleted it), and the version just downloaded from here "iGo-Primo 2.4-9.6.13 Complete".

When I try to run either of them, the device kicks up a stink and says, "User interface resolution (800x480) is not supported or compatible skin can not be found. Exiting application."
I've got the following listed in the sys.txt file...

[debug]
skip_eula=1
experimental_features=1

[interface]
show_exit=1
extra_settings=1
resolution_dir="800_480"
vga=0

[rawdisplay]
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

[other]
demo_enabled=0

[route]
hnr_ignored_missing_country_ids=*

[vr]
disabled=0

[folders]
has_secondary_root=0

[loading]
loading_bmp="loading.jpg"

What am I doing wrong?
If at all possible, is someone able to tell me how to correct the error, or at the very least link a working version of Primo for me?
I'd be extremely grateful for any help.
Thanks!

Try deleting (or renaming) sys.txt and the whole Save folder and see if it works without them

Thank you to you both for your suggestions. Deleting the sys.txt and save folders did the trick.
However, I've downloaded the Primo you linked "just in case".
I truly appreciate your help, I was bashing my head against the wall.... haha.

Then be grateful to the first one who shares them ;)
The people down under share much faster than others, as you can see clearly in our map section. The Q4 maps from there are already shared. The rest of the world ?? :scratch_one-s_head_ We are patient. :pray:

Our uploader is on slow internet this week and can't supply new files.
On the German Navitotal site, the .ftr files are already uploaded:

If you ask Mikyhouse nicely, he might re-upload. Send him a PM.
