What is the actual resolution of your device?

Beefje, check out data.zip. Best for safety copy it to your PC, next unzip, then look in the folder ui_igo8 or ui_igo8_da (dependinding on your igo build). In that folder should be a folder called 480_234.
When that folder is there, your resolution is supported. When so, delete the save folder (it will be replaced when starting again). Then start up and do the settings over again. The correct resolution should be detected during start up.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

Are you 100% sure the resolution is 480*234? No, 200% sure.
Did you get the device together with iGO8? Can you tell what build (menu-help-about)

Delete these lines

resolution_dir="320_240"
vga=0

and

screen_x=320
screen_y=240

Delete the save folder again and start up.

All the Xtron 7" 1dins I could find are as follows:
D710= 800x480
D709 and D708 = 400x234

If any of these are correct for your unit, you are not running iGO with the correct resolution, and the distortion/mis-sizing you describe will result.

First we must be very sure what resolution your device is. I mean VERY VERY sure.
Goto http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?909-Double-din-2Din-GPS-How-to-install-thread, scroll down a bit and download a resolution tester. Test and report back.

I will not be here anymore till next sunday (12th), but one of the team members will certainly help you further.
