Hi.
I am running Primo2 with Australian maps and school zones. It shows all the schools in the distance with and icon that I would like to get rid of because there are so many on the screen at times it's quite annoying. Is it possible to get rid of the icons or markers without getting rid of the school zones? I really only want to be warned when approaching a school zone.
Thanks.

I don't use Primo but isn't there an option either in settings or in map settings, place markers, more or something like that?

Thanks for the reply. I did try that but there is no option for school zones.

What about the POI or speedcam files? Did you add files to those sub-categories?

I had a look in those files and could find anything to help me. I didn't add any files, someone gave me Primo 2 with the school zones already on there. I think he added the markers.

If you couldn't find anything in the sub-categories that it's very possible that your other stuff is included in the maps themselves by the map makers. Unless you definitely need the school zones, you might just want to delete the maps and download just maps. I hope you understand that.
Look in the content folder for those sub-categories.

Thank you again for your help. I updated my maps a few days ago but the icons were there before that.
I am hoping to get a response from the guy I got the copy from on a different forum.

It's also possible that you have to delete the save folder after making changes.

Go to Settings-->Sounds and Warnings-->Alert Point Settings-->Dis/enable the required Alert Point.
When a 2nd skin (in folder content/skin) is used, above steps (valid for the standard data.zip) can differ.
Poi's can be selected via Settings-->Map Settings-->Place markers

I don't seem to have a save folder in Primo but there is one in Igo 8.

If I disable the alert point I won't get a warning when approaching the school zone.
The only marker I have selected is "Petrol Station".

Copy path to your Torrent program (uTorrent etc)
or into a browser addy bar.
You could try
[3D]
max_pois_on_horizont=12 ;(reduce number)

Hi Bazzle.
I was hoping to hear from you because I originally got my copy of Primo2 with Ozzie content from you.
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?9365-Associate-school-zones-with-quot-Children-quot-warningI have since updated to R20 maps.

Sorry but I don't really understand what you mean by that but I will try your other suggestion.
Thank you.
EDIT; Already have my max_pois_on_horizon set to 5.

I eventually found the save folder, it was right at the bottom of the list where I didn't see it, not in it's usual spot. I deleted the save folder but I still have these annoying school zone markers.

I'm sorry to say but you might just have to wait for the next version of maps to see if it was corrected. Bazzle's suggestions didn't work?

It was happening with the R19 maps and also with R20 maps which I recently updated to.
Bazzle suggestions didn't work, I copied "magnet:?xt=urn:btih:77FF318645B5F737C0C1B9B680009 B 9648E76B0B&dn=Last%20school%20holidays.rar&tr=Torr entReactor.net, into my address bar and it led me back to this thread.
