Do you have a TTS voice working?

Welcome to Navitotal.
Did you try it "on road" or just by simulating or "fly over"?
Voice warnings will work only in real route, when the device is under open sky with full GPS signal.

Depends.
Without my device in hand, I can not say what precise settings are needed to enable audible warnings. Do you have at least a sound (ding, bell, ...)?

Then spoken warnings. Which voice do you have enabled?
When it's a TTS voice, a warning should be spoken by the TTS voice. However, in my case it's a annoying English voice, English not being my language (no real TTS available). I can't say how other TTS voices/languages announce cams.
When it's not a TTS voice, you need a skin to enable voice warnings and an extra audio folder with the voices. For more information, search for the dIMka skin, esp. the website. The voices can be downloaded there as well as an example of how to do the setup. That way of work is identical for most of (all?) skins.

i did have the 'you are exceeding the speedlimit' voice working originally

Take a look here for how to set it up:
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12925-Hebrew-Speed-Camera-Voice-Files-(Audio-Folder)-For-Primo

Ignore that it is for Hebrew, it works the same way for any language.

ok have done all that, will go out and test it, all worked so far, the new skin seems much better to be honest, the only thing i noticed is that during setup, every camera warning that you set the delay on the second phrase says 60mph..hopefully this is just a testing thing and cameras will work on every speed limit not just 60..will report back, thanks for your help

all worked fine :) really pleased the new skin is great and the speed cam warning they may be a little premature and its funny that it announces red light cameras as a speed limit but maybe thats because some of them double up as speed cams also? but mostly it all works great really happy thanks for your help above :)

You can make an edit in the sys.txt that changes the warning distance for cameras.
