Speedcam warning distance

Speedcam warning distance

Postby bazzle » Sat Sep 03, 2011 8:35 pm

Any one know where the settings for speed camera warning distance is kept so I can change it?
I find they are called too early (600M)
Would like to change to 100M.
(Primo 1.2 GJ skin , iGO8 GJ skin)

Speedcam warning distances are dependent on speed of the vehicle at the time.
They can be adjusted in sys.txt as the following:

[warning]
warn_distances=130:450,110:350,90:300,60:200,40:100 ;110:1000,80:800,60:500,40:300
speedcam_max_lookahead=1200 ;(1000)

The first figure is the speed in KPH:the second figure is the distance in meters

These are the defaults.

You can add any, and as many speed and distance increments as you like--be sure they are separated by a colon, and a comma between pairs.

Was about to post that, On Primo 1.2 i used to get a warning distance of 800 yards for a 40MPH camera, By the time i got to the camera, i'd forgotten about it.

I seem to see a bunch of variations in lots of places. Or is it that common of a nick?
