speedcams?? is it me? the file? the maps?

Postby meadyyyy » Wed May 15, 2013 4:45 pm

hiya all
finally got round to updating speedcam file as it was way overdue, could only download full eu 2013 file as the SCBD 2013 all links dead, anyway, deleted old txt file and put new txt file in.
so monday morning off i went up m6 from j10, before i had got anywhere "speed cam warning 50mph, but no cams on m6, then again, and again, counted to 20 and hadnt got to j15, all 50mph cams, got couple of mobile cam warnings 70mph which are correct as on bridges over m/way, also got several 60mph cam warnings on 30mph roads. when got home deleted all cam files and anything else in speedcam folder and also save file and re put txt file back in cam folder, tues morning, same journey again and same happened (running primo2 and i-3 primo). on wednesday tried other halfs satnav with basic igo8 aswell and same again.

so question is, have i done something wrong? or forgot to do something? is file wrong? is file not compatible with navteq 2012 Q3 map? am at a loss

thanks in advance

There are no settings within iGO that could mess up the position and speed data of the speed cameras, all they are are GPS coordinates with some other data like speed, type etc.

You installed everything correctly, so this would suggest a faulty database.

I'm still using the pgpsw cams from here...

http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6824-UK-amp-ROI-Content-pack.

A bit old but I still trust it, bear in mind budget cuts mean a lot less cameras around.

ok, put speedcam files you suggested/supplied into relevant folder and much better, no cams where there arent any and if i come accross any that not in files i just add them by skin interface hot edit, so problem solved, cheers
