Sys txt

Postby 1888 » Sun Aug 24, 2014 7:45 pm

In Amigo what line do I need in the text to guide it to read maps, POI's from the SD card and is it possible to have some maps on the device and some on SD?

And while I am here how do I change the skin? I have some but the settings will only let me change night and day colours.

I did ask this but my post vanished. If it re appears and I now have two posts then sorry but its no ma fault :)

Chas521 has a nice version of Amigo with a skin already installed (freddysam?)
I never used Amigo myself.

If It is 205MB or less I am all ears :) 127 of that is the UK and Ireland maps so if I can get it to read maps from the SD then I can upgrade to a newer Amigo or add features.

OK. I could not sus how to get it to share the maps from device and SD card. I just have it using the SD card for all content with this line

Yes I called the folder igo rather than ameigo. :)

Code: Select all
[folders]
content="/SDMMC/IGO/CONTENT"

I think that's all primo supports, the individual folder entries don't work

Its Amigo. I am giving primo another bash on another sat nave due to having a music player. This old thing with amigo is for when out in the UK on the bike due to looking at bit tougher that the F430. BTW, would you know where I would store pictures in amigo as it has a picture viewer. Primo I think it just the card root, would this be the same?

I never used Amigo, but in Primo there are sys.txt entries to include and exclude the media scanner for music, whether they work in Amigo or not, I don't know...

[oasis]
exclude_directories="PICTURE::%myflashdisk%,PICTURE::%sdcard%,MUSIC::%myflashdisk%,MUSIC::%sdcard%"

include_directories="PICTURE::%sdcard%/Photos,MUSIC::%sdcard%/Music"

Is there anything in the Primo sys.txt to turn up the volume for music files or is that dedicated for the head unit?

Have a look here...

tips-and-tricks-devices-and-sys-txt-f129/primo-sys-txt-lines-t2624.html

Be aware there is no official documentation for the sys.txt, this list has been obtained by trial and error.

Is there a volume control in the settings..?
