Hi

How do I add a translation Gurion skin 1.09 for primo 2.4 to language file.
The process of this post does not work:
Code: Select all

When I add translation to dictionary.lang program starts in English even though it is set to another language.
I note that I'm doing everything as instructed.

Did you try deleting your save folder?
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

No, I have not tried.
for a moment, I'll try
--------------
Deleted the save folder, I added a line of text with the translation to dictionary.lang and disappears completely Polish translation. Maybe Primo 2.4 has to look the other way?

What language are planning to use?
Primo comes standard with a number of language files, and if your language is not included, you must translate the English language (or any other) dictionary.lang file.
Finally you have to change the flag-bmp,s and modify file info.ini (correct language key etc.)
Save the file using a defined name e.g. Lang-xxx.zip where xxx is the country name.
Now you have your standard language file for your country ready for use.
Next you are going to use e.g. a GJA skin. That skin uses extra phrases and instructions, which you have to add to your newly created language file.
That means that you have to add the info from link http://www.navitotal.com/showthread....to-non-English to your extistng lanquage file and translate the part right from the = sign into your language. Save the file and you are done.
That is the correct way to do. If you work from an Sd-card always do a reset in order the make sure that the system has read all the data.

Thanks porn007, but that's all I know.
I edit the latest Polish language file, the following phrases from the skin and Polish language in primo disappears completely.
I do everything according to instructions.
Append the file whatever language it disappears translation for the primo

I'm doing everything exactly as in the manual:

You start with te Polish language file and open the dictionary.lang file.

Depending on wat skin you use (GJA or Dimka) you add the corresponding English text to the Polish dictionary.lang file.
Next you translate the English text at the right side of the = sign into Polish e.g. Current street="?????".
Instead of ???? put the Polish translation of Current street. Use the exact text as used left from the = sign.
One space too much or wrong character will result that the English phrase will not be translated into Polish.

Rename the map save to e.g. save-old, reset the system and restart iGO.
