Trying to get Q4 2010 NavTeq Maps Etc for N. America

Postby RoadnTrail » Thu Jun 23, 2011 7:01 pm

Hi,

I tried using the wupload file sharing (http://www.navitotal.com/forums/noref.php?url=http://www.wupload.com/folder/68645) to get this, but was unsuccessful.

I got:

CRC Failed in the encrypted file NQ-Q4.2000_US-Can\NQ-Q4.2010_US-Can\USA_Massachusetts_NT_2010.Q4_110301.POI (Wrong password) Unexpected End of Archive.

It sounds like I would have a problem especially since I would be using the POI for Massachusetts. I would not want to upgrade and have it not work for me. The iGO Maps info site does not have the latest maps posted.

I was hoping to find another source to download from that would work for me.

Any good links would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you try extracting with WinRar and 7-Zip? Sometimes one works where the other fails.

Fatboyfun,

RAR seemed to get it right. I will have to try it in my GPS.

Winrar is only good for 40 days. I guess it put something in my registry to make it obsolete. Do you know of another RAR type program that does not expire?

Thanks!

There are cracked versions of WinRAR available from the usual places...

I think that "IZArc" might help.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

Chas521,

I downloaded IZArc, but could not figure out how to use it.

In the files that I was able to extract from WinRAR, I found hnr files. I do not know what they are and where to put them.

I suppose I should put out a new post for this.

Thanks for the tip on IZArk.
