Trying to put igo8 on route66 mini

Postby funkoligy » Thu Aug 08, 2013 8:31 pm

Hi Chas521 I didn't touch any files in root of unit I added igo8 folder and renamed it as Route66 ( I also tried it without changing folder) I then took the R66Navigate8.exe and added to the route66 folder all on sd card and changed it to R66N.exe and changed the igo8.exe and renamed it R66Navigate8.exe. I then deleted all files in sys,txt and copied to route66 folder ( I also tried it without changing sys.txt).I inserted the card to unit and booted unit and it still did not recognize card. I then tried a shell.ini one more time placing it in myflashdisk folder on root of unit still nothing. Just for experience I then tried visual unlock and then mio moov unlock and all the same not working. Then I went back to the original route66 file and there are 2 folders one called Data (all route66 maps and speedcams etc like igo 8 content folder) and put igo8 in there god hoping it might work but changing .exe files and leaving it and still nothing. The othe folder route66 holding .dll and .exe files and there is 3 files not in folders named 3DNavigator,3DNavigator_tmp & Device,i removed them and then replaced them with no affect. At this stage im playing around with everything (maybe not a good idea). Thanks

Did you see my post #15? It seems that formatting the SD card is important.

Good job. Now make sure the iGO8's sys.txt has the correct port and baud for your device. Also, the resolution.
