Hi i have a sony nv u53 on which i have put igo8 on however i cant get the tts voices to work.I can select them in the menu but get no sound,any help would be appreciated .emma

Did you install them yourself?

What iGO8 program do you have and where did you get it? Can you link us to it please? Also, can you list your device's specifications? Again, a link?

I have igo8 version 8.3.2.93112 ,it came with my chinese car dvd sat nav and i transfered the program to my old satnav unit a sony nv u53 .I know the sony runs wince but do not know which version. Emma

We're probably talking WinCE 5 here. 8.3.2 version is an oldie. Try downloading and using mine here http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-16-2011. Follow what I posted for another member http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12544-Newbie-Question-For-Loading-IGO8 post #6. I know TTS works because I put it together. Post your results here.

Hi i have just installed the program you pointed me to.I had to add

To my sys text file,the program then loaded but still no tts voices only non tts voices.Any further guidance would be appreciated.

If you used chas521's programme and TTS still doesn't work, i suspect a memory issue, do you know whether it's 32MB, 64MB or 128MB? BTW 64MB is the minimum for TTS with iGO8, If you have 32MB then TTS will never work.

It's also possible that the WinCE is 4.2 and not 5.0. If it is 4.2 then the .dlls will have to be changed. Let us know.

I have same issue now. using 2 din chinanav wince6, 128M arm11. Primo 9.6.13.267029 from here. unit will only run natural voice. have checked sys.txt added tts lines, installed nuance and loquendo files wont select either. had it working earlier on this unit. moved cards and no more tts. it sees the voices. after this i would love to get the asr working from this build

Yes for both nua (vautov5 & tts_nua) and loq (tts_loq & 5 DLLs) I have voices for both in content/voice and no there is not a s on the end! There seems to be no reason for it to not work.

When you select the voice, does the unit attempt to load them, this is shown as a pause for a second or two?

Please post your sys.txt and did you add the necessary lines to the info.ini in the voice files?

the loq voices are zervdim 6 from here. they already have the info.ini edit. (just verified)
the voices do seem to want to say something when selected but I get no real confirmation and when I go "back" it is not selected. it stays on the uk natural.
