no tts voices

Postby mikec73 » Sat Mar 23, 2013 3:39 pm

I dont believe I have ever gotten a loq voice to work on primo since we migrated from amigo and 8. the nua voices have always been easy to get to work. though I remember the loq voices pronounced better. I tried a phoneme with nua (when it was working) it pronounced "drive" as "drove" so I removed the phoneme

If you want the LOQ voices for Primo go here and follow my directions in the blue box http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?912-TTS-voices-and-components

I recommend my iGO8 http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-16-2011 because any pronunciation can be fixed in the TTS_LOQ folder. It's in English not computerese.

Also, Zervdim's voices are not the best. A number of members had problems with them. BTW, he "borrowed" the voice engines from Navitotal and me.

I replaced the zervdim files with the ones linked. it didn't work. They can be selected but won't play the message and are not selected when going back.
I like the lane signs and reality view of primo. I use the GPS constantly every day for work.

below is my sys.txt
I have the torrent going now. the card I used initially was a 8 gb but i dont need that much space for the gps. I only use about 2 states so even 2 is more than enough. i initially had copied from the 8 but after this problem i replaced with copies from the computer.

If I can. But you should have posted what your problem is instead of just asking for general help.

Just see the other threads, Chas, all about the same problem.
I even got 3 identical PM's.
