I want Primo on my eanon G2240, how?

Postby gazi001 » Wed Jun 26, 2013 5:33 pm

I bought Eonon G2240 gps nav receiver from Hong Kong with WinCe 6.0, Ram 128mb, Resolution 800X480, Arm 11 processor. It came with Sygic 2012 map in Sd card. I wants to install iGo8, iGo Primo 2.4 or Garmin for the U.S. if possible by Sd card. How should I begin with It? I am a new member and interested to do it. Thanks.

hi gazi001
i'm a relatively new member in this forum.
want to give my opinion on your issue.
as far as i know sygic and igo use the same maps (teleatlas)
as long as you don't have any problems with your sygic i think there's no need to install igo 8 or primo.
anyway this is only my opinion.
the most important think is to be sure if eonon supports igo or navigon
if you want to install igo primo i'm sure you'll find all the help you need from chas521, nabi and others who are experts in the field.
i'm having some issues myself with igo primo and chas521 recommended to me this link
http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?12043-iGo-Primo-2.4-9.6.13-Complete-Torrent&p=107368#post107368
anyway i think you should wait for an opinion from them.
whatever you decide backup all your info first or even better is to use another sd card for igo or garmin.

Do you have a nav path, or GPS setup option in the device menu?

I'm also from the US so I'm going to make a recommendation from my experience. You do NOT want Primo in the US. You DO want iGO8.

Then just download a copy of iGO 8 or iGO Primo, and your required maps, then copy to the device or SD card, and point the nav path option to the iGO's exe file.

Use this application from chas521
Use these maps Direct or Torrent

Use this thread to help you work out where to put the map files within the application

Copy everything to the internal memory or a SD card, and setup the path to point to the iGO executable.

Don't worry too much if you just get an error, it happens sometimes and we can usually fix it.
