I need help how to upgrade IGO 8 with the newest version 2012 0r 2013. I used the oldest version..
is there any body can help me ? I'm using M-Tech Car head unit.

You have an old iGO8 installed?
1) Download a new build

2) download new maps
3) study your old igo: where is it located, what folder it is in, what is the name of the exe? It may be igo.exe, igo8.exe, mobilenavigator.exe, ...
4) copy (!) that old igo on your PC for reference and backup
5) replace it with the new igo and use the same folder, make sure the old igo is complete deleted so no remains clutter up things. Make sure the new .exe is called exactly the same and the path to the exe is exactly the same. This will ensure your old startup method will work exactly the same.
6) copy the maps in the right location, when you don't know exactly: http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?11326-where-to-put-map-related-files-in-iGO-Primo

Only when your old iGO is on sd and that sd is locked in a way, you may encounter problems.

Chas521 don't say clearly so I think you need all 3 parts but have have Brunei + Hong Kong + Indonesia + Macao + Malaysia + Singapore + Thailand maps.

I see you know a lot of IGO systems.
Renault has namely a navigation system like IGO with navteq maps.
Brand LG navigation system.

See my attachments.
One for the update and after the update.
The maps are Navteq Q2.
The system is protected in one way or another.

Maybe someone has a solution for other cards effortlessly with this system.

What do you want to accomplish? That is unclear to me. Just new maps? A new program?

I never heard or read about this car/navigation combination. I know there is a Renault/TomTom combination, but there it ends. Is it an inbuilt or handheld device? Is the car a Dacia perhaps? That would explain something, because Dacia as well as NNG (maker of iGO) are Romanian companies.
Anyway, the information you give is too little to tell anything useful.

It looks like the program is an iGO derived build, yes. It is not a pure iGO.
Also the protection might obstruct all you want to do. Most protections are a unity of device-program(licenses) and often maps-SDcard. If one link in the chain is broken, it all stops there. In any case, looking at what you uploaded, I see the link is there. The license names, the device.nng file, the .reg folder, ...


Assuming there is an sd card and the program itself is on the sd:
It MIGHT be possible to place a fresh (a new - keep the original in a safe place!!) SD card with a new iGO or Primo on it and run that program. But I cannot guarantee anything. I already pointed to the protection. Replacing the SD could be enough for a failure. Replacing what is on the original SD itself ... will be catastrophic!
In some cases, there is a program on sd and in memory (a program update updates both). When they are not the same ..... Well, no need to make a drawing, I guess.
More: your upload don't show me maps. Thus they are elsewhere, but where? What content did you upload? the SDcard? (if there is one)



Maybe the best advice is 'when it is not broke do not fix it'?
Did you contact your car dealer and asked him what you want to do or get?
