Binatone T350 Will Not Load Primo From SD Card
Hi hope you can get me out of this fix. Have read and carried out all the procedures on the site so far but can not get the unit to load from the card all I get is the Binatone to load when I press navigation. I have called the Primo folder MobileNavigation renamed the Primo.exe to MobileNavigator.exe and placed all the files on the SD card. Then I made a Shell.ini notepad and placed that on the SD card root with \SDMMC\MobileNavigator\MobileNavigator.exe but still it will not load . I have checked everything spelling ect to make sure I have not made any mistakes but to no avail. The only way I can get it to load is by going into Windows CE6 on the unit and starting Primo from the SDMMC on the unit and it loads fine so cant see it being a software problem. All the paths seem to be in there right place on the Windows desktop the SHELL.ini is also there . So I hope you experts can tell where to go from here

I've had tricky ones in the past, usually a power cycle (not a reboot) sorts it

I never renamed mine on the shell file and it works fine. My .exe file is called primo2 in a primo2 folder. SHELL file reads
Code: Select all
\SDMMC\Primo2\Primo2.exe
This is using a binatone f430 and was the same when I had the f350

Turn it completely off and wait 10 second and turn it on again.

I also have another file, device.nng file. I have that when using primo or igo8. Dono if needed. Oh just remembered. Size is your SD card. I remember the f350 only supported 4GB, may have been 2. Look into this and if so partition your card to smaller. Might be the problem.

I am using primo just now bit igo8 would look the same apart from it being renamed. When I look at my SD card this is what I have

The nng file may be something that is created in the unit im not 100% sure. All the sat nav folders go in the Primo2 folder or you have MobileNavigator. Like this when you open it

Ah, good one. Enjoy your software. Anything is better than that binatone crap. :023: I fired them an e mail some time ago for Europe maps. They wanted 40 odd quid. Cheaper buying another binatone on ebay with the maps.
