Another clue here:

[roundaboutcam]
enabled=0 ;(1)
centery=70 ;(50) cam tilt @ roundabout

The meaning is as follows:
enabled=1 means the roundabout remains fixed as the car drives around it
enabled= 0 means the car remains fixed and the roundabout turns

centery=70 is the angle from which the cam looks at the roundabout

Ton

Try! What's the worst that could happen? Did you try it without the centery?

Being that I'll be in a place with lots of roundabouts in the coming month, I am also curious about this. I don't have a lot of places (actually any) around me to test them out on the road, however it would be nice not to have the map screen zoom all the way in while in the roundabout. It does make it a little more difficult to tell which turn to get off on. So please let me know if anyone knows how to edit these settings... and whether or not the settings work.

tried it with centery set from 20 to 120 and the map still zooms in so the centery setting doesnt do anything..i even put my igo8 map sys.txt [see below] in and that made no differance..its a very distracting problem that otherwise spoils a very good nav program..

[map]
auto_nightmode=1
2dheadup=1
3d_max_tiltlevel=9000
3d_default_tiltlevel=9000
3d_max_zoomlevel=500
3d_min_zoomlevel=40
3d_max_zfar=500
3d_scale_carmodel=1
3dcarsizemin=5000
3dcarsizemax=10000
3dcarsizemul=20000

No, I meant without the centery entry at all.

[roundaboutcam]
enabled=0

OUCH! It may be something that is automatically built-in to the maps. It may not be able to override.

Interesting. Did you delete the save folder when trying those sys.txt entries? Save keeps things in memory.
