TT 0ne V2 upgrade info

Postby dave23 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 2:58 pm

Hi there it's been a few years since I did any patching maps ect with my TT so a bit rusty with it all.
Going to Florida later this year so was looking at getting a map for the Usa and TT Home tells me I can get Ver 900.4608

My TT One V2 specs are App 7.903 (9183/040301) os:1000 32MB RAM (free 32.0 MB) GPS v1.21, Boot 1.0012

What would you suggest I change App vers too and what about bootloader?

Or should I just leave system and search for the Usa Ver 900.4608 map?

Thanks

What size is your TT One V2 internal memory. Does it have a card slot?

Hi Don't think it has internal memory apart from the 32mb ram it shows on the "show Version" screen. Yes it has a SD card slot.
Hope this helps.

The only ONE without internal memory at all would be the ONE V1 (Classic), pretty ugly "Egg"...
I guess you got the Bootloader info from Home and not from the ttgo.bif?
Anyway I can recommend the 9.430 or 9.485 from my collection - in both cases the version with Memory Boost.
You can find them in the Navcore section.
Unless you bootloader is still below 5.5012 you don't have to worry about it, so please use Get my Config and post the results.

It's deffo a V2 I've got, I remember upgrading the bootloader and navcore but that was some time ago and have forgotten how to ect now.

Get My Config results;

DeviceID=
DeviceVersionHW=ONE
DeviceSerialNumber=

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
TTSystem 5794924 bytes, modified 09/01/2009 16:47
BootLoaderVersion=10012
RDS/TMC 'mctx.dat' size 44 bytes
GreatBritainPostalVersion=version607

As you can see my bootloader is below 5.5012 do I have to upgrade it what would my options be now?

Thanks

The only reason to up the bootloader would be to use a 4GB or larger SDHC card. You are already using a 8GB card, so no change is necessary.
I would just add the US 900.4608 map. Patch it & your existing navcore & map, if not already patched. If all goes well, then we can up the navcore, if you wish to.

tomtom one new edition doesn't have internal memory, this is often mistakenly referred to as a v2, it is in fact new edition v4

I have 4 specs reference charts & none of them totally agree on the V# and/or the internal & external storage for the different ONE models.

There are 2 ways to confirm which ONE model a user has.
Look at line 2 "DeviceVersionHW="" in the ttgo.bif file or go here: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Added the map and seems to be working fine, what advantage would upping the navcore give me?

I suggest that you take a look at Downunder's Navcore 9.430 for most models and/or his Navcore 9.485 for most devices.
You will get a whole new look in the menu, as well as the ability to use a more detailed map.

You can test it from the comfort of your easy chair, by creating an "A to B Route", then run it as a Demo.
