So after needlessly posting a question after "user error" I have a working TT720 with 1030_9519 UK/ROI and FR maps. So far so good but if I try to navigate to address with the FR map there is just a list of numbers and any keyboard letters input reveals nothing. If I switch to the UK/ROI 9519 map I can search city/street/postcode all normal. I DL the FR 9519 from two sources thinking I had damaged the rar but they are the same and behave the same.

Any chance of a picture or video to demonstrate what the problem is?

Yes but no but yes! I don't have an image hosting account but will try to work something out. For now I will explain in more detail to try and clarify. If I "navigate to" and choose either city/street&house/postcode or crossing/intersection on the French 9519 map the list with the dropdown starts with "01140" and ends at 03220 in steps of 10 but with occasional missing progression, no 01180 for example.
If I navigate to one of these "locations" the route summary shows a destination, some of the destinations are pretty random, 50 metres from a roundabout exit was one I found.
01140 when selected brings up a street list that is different than the street list offered for 03220. The street lists looks good, there is a full looking alphabetical list.
Here is an example: Navigate to>address>street and house number. As usual the display has keyboard and two line display where alphabetical cities would be but I have no cities/towns listed. So the first entry is 01140. We select 01140 and the street search takes almost a minute to scroll through the list. We pick "Rue Paul Blanc" at random and even dare to select a number, "40" in this example.
"Busy planning a route". We select "details", "browse map of route" and after zooming find the street name is correct. The location turns out to be a small town to the east of Lyon.
So I have street names displayed as a result of selecting a number from the "city" dropdown which is just a 5 digit number and the street names are correct for the location selected.
As you would expect on the UK/ROI map the dropdown starts with recent searches or road numbers followed further down by place names so I assume my problem is map related rather than navcore or other files. I have a Europe 1030_9519 but not here, maybe on Sunday I will have access and try that. Perhaps I should have tried a small map. I am more intrigued than frustrated but yes my mum said there would be days like this.

So I loaded the Europe 1030_9519 map to the TT720 and the navigate to address input works just like it does on the UK/ROI map. I found another source for the FR 1030_9519 and it is 478 MB in size, the one found "locally" is 560 MB so when my pitiful internet connection allows I will test that smaller DL.

Ok, it must be the map then...
I've uploaded France 1030.9519 (478MB) that is from our own trusted source below:

Thank you. I can confirm the one linked above works correctly, the address list and autocomplete is all good.
