Hi,

It's been about 6 years since I last patched my TT Go530 which is now running as a 950. The current map I'm using is Europe 850.2800 and my OS is 483784.

I've looked around and it seems that it is still possible to update and patch maps etc. Before I get deeper into the current methods/programs etc, is it possible to update my SatNav and maps?

Current official 530 navcore is 9.510.

Patch it with 9.510 SE ttsystem.rar

Current official 530 map is Europe 915.5074.
This map is 2501MB in size. You will need to use a 4GB SDHC card.
Patch it with FastActivate Latest Update

Thanks for the quick reply Tendriver. I have a couple of questions though as it's been so long since I patched the TomTom that I've forgotten most of the procedure, anyway even if I had remembered it is probably well out of date.
My 530 is running on a navcore for a 950 so I assume it thinks it's a 950. So do I need the map etc you've mentioned or do I need a map for a 950 and is there still an advantage in leaving the TT as a 950?
Also my current SD card has both the Europe Map and also N.America, so has each map got it's own root menu?

I haven't yet had a chance to browse the Navitotal site for How to stickies, so if you could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

1. Current official 530 & 950 navcore is 9.510.
2. Maps are navcore specific, not device specific.
3. Maps don't have root menus.

Please run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} & post the results here.

Navcore 9.051 is a XXL navcore. I would up it to 9.510.

[Please Register or Login to download file] Copy all of the files & folder to your 530, overwriting any common files.
Patch it with 9.510 SE ttsystem.rar the ttsystem file will patch the navcore. The model.txt file sets the emu to X50.

Tried to download navcore-Go.cab but get the "File not found" message. Got the ttsystem.rar file though.#

Hi Tendriver,

Had a quick look round the help files and have a few questions before I continue.
Tom Tom Home doesn't recognize my 530 when I connect to computer. The computer see's it and I can view files etc. Does Home need to be patched first?
Once I d/l the 915.5074 Map do I just copy it to an SD card and copy the ttgo.bif & ttsystem files to the card then run FastActive and it's automatic? What do I need to do with the meta file?
Do I need to copy my Voices file to the new SD card and will it have to be patched again? or will I patch the Map then copy voices file?

Started the map download but the silverlight downloader is installing .dll files in the registry which I cannot remove also programs:- Ss.Helper & EasyLife are installing files.????

Anything else I should know before I start?
