go 530 loss of maps

Thu Jun 06, 2013 10:32 am

Hi
like a fool i tried to upload some maps to my tt g0530, (from a pp site) however when i switch on i get no maps loaded on the screen, i thought i had backed up my device.
when i try to update tt530 there is nothing new to add.
could anyone give me a starter on where to start to rectify the problem
i have looked for my navcore version & cant find nothing on the internal memory.

thanks in anticipation

If you got it from a PP site you should ask for help there - we do not support that crap!
Otherwise feel free to use the infos available in the general diskussion section, the Navcore section and our tutorials.
After that you should be fine.

It appears that the data in post 4 is from TT Home "Operate my GO". If I am correct, get an accurate ttgo.bif file reading by running TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} on the device. Post the results here.

If your info is correct a 910.4892 EU map is needed as there is no Meta for the France map yet.
Your Navcore is the current version.
You should check the map thread for a suitable EU map that covers the regions you need - and has a meta code posted.
Follow the instructions inside the map thread and use FastActivate to patch the Navcore and activate the map.

OK. I still want you to run TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011} on the device. Post the results here.

Download, unzip & copy the .exe file into your unit & run it.

The easiest way would be the most logical too, try clicking on the red in Tendriver's posting;)

The Navcore is current, so all you need is a map and FastActivate.
Following the instructions inside the 910 map thread will make sure it works - if not then you did not follow them correctly ;)
Your TTGO.BIF shows that there is no map, so either it is inside a subfolder or incomplete (if there is a map copied onto the device).
