minterno wrote:hi guys,i hope im not double posting here,i have Navcore.8.351.9982 on a tomtom go 530 and i want to install the uk and ireland or european maps on it,i have had a good look around the site but im still a bit confused as to what i need to do,is there a step by step guide for dummies,im looking for the map number and instructions on how to install it on my unit/memory card, regards

You might look here: 865 maps with installer and FastActivate Read ALL of the instructions CAREFULLY. You want a 865.3245 full feature map. If you have a 2GB card, the UK & ROI will be no problem. For an Europe map, You will need at least a 4GB card. If you have tried to boot the 530, with 8.351 on the card & the card in the device, look in the card for a ttgo.bif file. If it is there, then use 865 maps with installer and FastActivate to load the map of your choice onto the card.
If you have not done this, then do so to create the needed ttgo.bif file. If it is there, now use 865 maps with installer and FastActivate to load the map of your choice onto the card.

run FastActivate Premium from root directory, be sure here is file ttgo.bif also
1. patch your navcore (button ttsystem/PNDnavigator) if not already patched
2. patch your map (button Maps/Voices/Speedcams)

where you get this error "you cannot use this map on this device"
device or TomTom HOME?

I tried out the unit on the demo mode and it works a treat, just to recap for anyone with a similar problem,I loaded navcore and maps on the memory card itself and not the sat nav as the hdrive in the sat nav seems to be broke, the unit was stuck at start up and after following the advice of PiEtU and tendriver i now have myself a fully working tomtom and an delighted with it,regards

There is one more very important step to take before you are finished. Try to copy the contents of the card onto the internal memory. If successful, then remove the card & attempt to boot the unit. This final step will confirm whether the internal memory is actually good or bad.

I do not want to be rude, but the internal memory does not work and can not connect to the computer.
She can not TRY to copy anything if the internal memory does not appear on the computer
