GO 530 fm transmitter

Sat Oct 30, 2010 9:37 am

I have a go 530 uk map on internal drive, truck map on sd card.
When using uk map I have the option to use the fm transmitter for instructions.
On the truck map it only gives me the option to play music. Is this something to do with the truck navcore ?

The use of the fm transmitter is not related to the map. It is a navcore function. For clarification, your current 530 setup is: Truck navcore & UK map on the internal & truck map only on the card?

The go 530 set up is internal hard drive ===Uk map 855.2884 with 8.351 navcore

SD Card=====Europe Truck map 845.2649 with truck navcore 8.395.

Instructions can be played via FM when on UK map but not when on Truck map.

SD Disc=====Europe Truck map 845.2649 with truck navcore 8.395.

Instructions can be played via FM when on UK map but not when on Truck map.

Version 8.350

(TomTom GO x20, GO x30 and GO x40)
  • Re-enables route instructions through FM Transmitter (GO x20, GO x30 only)(only when music is also being transmitted)

I am getting very confused (you must hate noobs) this is what I did when you explained what I had to do to get it working on my 700

Re: your post 30 screen shot, remove the Navcore_8.395.go_work.CAB-navcore-GO_WORK_mod_X50.rar & navcore folders.
Download this navcore [Please Register or Login to download file]
Unzip & open the downloaded 8.395 navcore folder. There are 9 folders & 21 files in it. See the attachment in post 27. Delete the ttsystem file in the 8.395 navcore. Copy the 9 folders & 20 remaining files, as well as the SE ttsystem file to your 700 hard drive, overwriting any common files & folders. Reboot.

Then yesterday you told me to copt all from root of 700 to sd card
Hope you can make sense of this ????

My apologies. I do so many posts everyday, that it becomes hard to remember all of them. Bottom line: 8.351 supports fm, 8.359 doesn't.
