I've got a 710 that i cant get working i have tried 9.510 x10 and se versions navcores , updated the bootloader to 55242 to use sdhc cards ,map GB & ireland 990 8365 with meta, the map shows as ok in Fastactivate dct ok also speedcams and post codes dct ok, i have used the flash clean tool.
I have the same map working in my one xl with the 32mb version of 9.510 but in the 710 i just get the red screen with this map wont work etc ?
I originaly tried two west europe maps 990 8306 -990 8362 which is what i actually want on it, i tried the GB one as i know it works on the XL, can anyone figure what im doing wrong ??

Make a Backup
Delete the content of SD Card

* recommended navcore 9510
Download unpack and place files and folders on SD Card

1) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"

2) Map west europe 990 8306

3) Copie the chosen map to your SD card in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

4) Disconnect your virus scanner temporarily from the PC
Copy "FastActivate.exe" and file
Integrated_meta.txt to your TomTom device root (SD Card).
viewtopic.php?f=127&t=19452
Run "FastActivate.exe".
     Select 2 and Done.
Don,t forget to Connect virusscanner again.

Ok i followed your tut, i am getting dct error on map, am i right pasting the meta code in notepad naming meta.txt and sending to sd card ? i tried adding to the meta text folder also but still no good ? C7 D2 94 23 B0 CE 95 D3 15 B2 7E EF 40 7D FC FC Western_Europe-101141.meta ; Western_Europe 990_8306 is this the wrong code ? thanks for your help .

I don,t now why you paste the meta code. Everything works fine.
Stick exactly to the tutorial.

I don't understand that bit as the meta code folder only goes to 985 maps ? i tried it first as your tut said but theres no dct files being generated except voices which i didnt have before with the last map i tried.
I will delete and try again.

The Integrated_meta.txt goes to 990 so I don,t know from where you got FastAktivate. In the tutorial I gave you a link for the latest FastAktivate.

Yes thanks that will teach me to follow instructions fully, i was using the fast activate i had already, i downloaded yours and found the meta text folder, everything seems to have worked i have all dct's ok in fastactivate unfortunately now the 710 wont switch on just a blank screen ?

For those who are still using an old version of Fastactivate, try to get the latest version
The elder links to update the updated_meta.txt files are changed, I still see many on my server who are using the old version
and they will get an out of date updated_meat.txt file form a different former server
