Just looking for a bit of advice.
I have a Go720 with updated maps and was 'activated' a few years back.
I haven't used it for years (as my car has Nav built-in) but wanted to update it properly to give to a relative.
Question is, how do you update the core app version (currently version 9.43) etc to the latest version for this device - given that the device has been previously 'activated'? I guess I can't just connect up to TomTom home?

Yes you can. TomTom Home should give you NC 9.510 but it would need re-patching with FastActivate to continue to use 'downloaded' maps

Do you recommend using Home or downloading one of the Navcore installers (9.510)?

Use Home....but to be on the safe side, backup your device first using Windows explorer (showing all files and folders)
