What I did last time a TT was really unresponsive:

Connect to power cord or cradle connected to usb and switch it on. Or reset and switch on.
After that no problem.

I would try loading your full back up onto a suitable sd card, via card reader, insert card and try booting up device and see what happens. make sure your battery is fully charged.

Well, I'm just stating that have a live wire connected to it might do the trick when it remains unresponsive if it's not connected. Even when an emptied battery is not likely.

Okay, opj did say that he connected it via usb and it did not connect to the pc, but even so I think his chances are best when restarting it when connected.
Just don't give up hope yet.... ;)

A good check is always using the original car charger, press reset and then turn on.
A PC usually only supplies 500mA while the charger goes for the rated current on the TT.
If a battery is becoming faulty it won't hold a good charge, in severe cases even burn out the charging circuit if the battery has a short.
The car charger will provide enough "juice" to get power to the device as long as the charging circuit is not already damaged.
