GO 720 reboot

Postby alexterieur54 » Mon May 22, 2017 5:51 am

Hello every body !
First, sorry for my English.
I have a problem with my device GO 720.
Yesterday, I put NC 9.510 and a new map Central Europe 990_8306 on my SD card . I've patched with fastactivate (point 2 and 3).
Problem, the device reboot and reboot and reboot.
I've tried with another map ( 985_8155) and it's the same.
On my SD card, I've a older map 920.5241 and with this one I've no problem, the device start.
Maybe somebody have a solution for me ?
Thank you very much for a repply
Bye

Format SD Card Fat32 slow

0) 9510_DSA_UK_NL-Comp_voices_Kate_Saskia
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Download and unpack place Folders and Files on SD Card
--
1) Insert the SD card in the 720 or if the SD card is already inserted disconnect 720
from computer. So now the 720 is stand alone
--
2) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and after reset start 720 till the announcement "No map found"
--
3) Copie the chosen map to your SD Card in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
--
4) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root SD Card
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2

Done

Hello HolyHead
Thank you for your help unfortunately it is always the same.
I followed your instructions but in point 2: the 720 finds the card which is in internal memory so I do not get the message "no map found".
I still continued, so copy the new map, copy fastactivate, meta.txt, and then patched the map only, the dct file is OK but when I restart the 720 and choosing the new card, it reboot loop.
Don't you think the card is involved ??
thank you for your help
Best regards

So it means that if you use the SD Card with navcore 9510 on it the internal map is been found or the message map can,t be used. Can you change from map now? From the map, Central Europe 990_8306 is no meta code available so that can be the reason. So try a map with a meta code available.

Hello Hollyhead
thank you for your help
I've changed my map and everything works great.
The problem was because of a bad choice of card
thanks again
