Go 730 - need help

Postby nuca1960 » Sat Jun 19, 2010 1:15 am

I am a complete beginner and I need an explanation of how to introduce the new maps in TomTom GO 730, and that the same work. I hope somebody can help because I start soon on the way across the whole of Europe 04/07/2010.
Thank you in advance!

PS!
I downloaded the maps Central and Eastern Europe 850.2782, but I can not extract it because of errors. Is anyone else had this problem?

Please check the tutorials for a start.
The error with the map is most likely caused by a corrupted download so please try to redownload again and always use the latest Winrar version to unpack files.

1. Download your required map (Make shure it is compatible with your navcore version, check the map chart) Then extrat it
2. Remove your old map from your device if the space is needed (But backup first)
3. Copy the new map folder "Eastern_Europe_850_2782" to your device,
4. Download and run keygen 4.1D (Get it from my sig)
5. Choose buttons "Downloads" > "Meta" you will now be requested to restart so do that.
6. Now use button "Patch system" to patch your ttsystem file then restart the keygen again
7. This time choose buttons "Make map keys" > "Create DCT" , This will patch your map.

Restart device and you should hav an updated map ;)

I managed to do everything to item 6.
Then I get the following:
"Error cannot patch this file
Navcore ttsystem problem
You need a genuine not-patched file"
???????

Click in the lower right corner (blue area) of the navigation screen. On the right side of the window that opens, you will see a button that reads "version x.xxx". That is your navcore version.

Go to the Navitotal main page then go into TomTom section and look for Navcores for all Devices, then "Navcores 8 for TomTom Devices" and then "Navcore V8", scroll down the page and look for "SE_ttsystem.8.351.9982.rar". Download, ur-rar and copy it to the root of the TT.
