Hi,

I have a go710 using navcore 9.103 with maps central and western europe v850.2800 which seems to work o/k...updates when connected to laptop.

I've now updated to v855.2884... this seems to work on the go710 but when connected to tomtom home I get the message:-

Your map has not been updated for more than 20 weeks.unfortunately Map share map corrections are temporarily not available.

When I updated all I did was delete the old map folder, replace it with the new one and ran autoactivate 05.09.10.

Anyone got any idea whats wrong.

i agree,,, thats weird,,,
do you have a ttgo.bif, ttgo.back & ttgo.ori file on the root of your device? if not, try this:


[color="blue"]Connect GPS to PC

open the file called TTGO.bif with notepad

then in notepad, click FILE --> SAVE AS --> type in --> TTGO.ori (save this file to the root of your GPS)

Shutdown notepad

then open the file called TTGO.bif with notepad again

and replace just these 2 lines like this;

From:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9103
ApplicationVersion=516023.2

To:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183

then click, FILE --> SAVE

and since notepad is still running, click FILE --> SAVE AS --> type in --> TTGO.bak (save this file to the root of your GPS)

Shutdown notepad

By now your ttgo.bak / ttgo.bif / ttgo.ori files should all 3 be configured this way;
[Please Register or Login to download file]

Disconnect GPS from PC & reboot

Thanks for reply. I've tried following your advice..unfortunately TomTom still gives me the same message when docked ARRRGHHH!!!

I have GO710, navcore 9.103.539753.2, OS 539302, boot 5.5259.

Any other ideas PLEASE.

Everyone using a 855 map is getting this error message at the moment, it is not a user error but the 855 maps are too new for mapshare corrections at this time, they will become available when egnouff people report errors with maps

Yes it is a problem that we are all having even us mods , but give it time and it will work

There was a similar problem with W&CE maps 850.2834; not sure if it's rectified yet. Will check and report back later.

GOOD NEWS, I connected my TOMTOM to HOME today and it's now starting to update...I had all of 3 mapshare updates.(map:- western and central europe 855.2884)
