Hi, I'm new on here as well, I am trying to understand how the updating works. I have a Tomtom XXL that I would like to update if at all possible. It has Australian maps now, is it possible to load NZ maps as well and have both. If so what do I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go Here: FastActivate 24.11.2011 {1.8.8.0} Read the instructions. Select the Premium version.

Remove the complete old AU 865 map folder.
Unzip & copy both new map folders to the unit.
Unzip FastActivate & run it per the instructions.. For now, click the first 3 buttons, 1 at a time, left to right.
Disconnect & reboot.
Done.

hi and thanks for the map. I habe installed the 2gb europe map in my htc and after that i run the program and tometome said me that the map is not activated, which can be the provlem? thanks again

The installer is made for the normal TT PNA's.
For Windows based devices the folders and procedures are a bit different.
Since you already got the map the easiest way would be (if you can see but not use the map in TT) to check for a .dct file in the map folder.
If you don't have the file than your map is not activated.
I simply assume you are not using TT software that you bought in a shop.
To activate the map, copy you ttgo.bif file into the map folder, add FastActivate Premium into the map folder and re.run FastActivate to activate the map.
Once you got the .dct file it is only a matter of having the folder for the map in the right place.
If I'm not completely mistaken there should be a tutorial for the Win based version too.

What do you mean by "does not work"?
Have you checked the actual link and the error that the hosting site gives in regards to the file?

I mean that at the moment of the download, after the captcha and after the 60second to wait, nothing happends and cannot load the web page!

Check the main page of FileFactory and you'll notice that they are upgrading the servers and due to high demand there might be some problems.
Nothing I can do about.
