hi guys
I'm trying to download North_America_2GB_880.3810 but the link to Part 5 takes me a to a page that says "Sorry, this file is no longer available. It may have been deleted by the uploader, or has expired. This error is usually caused by requesting a file that does not exist."
I'm a new member and the board doesn't let me send a private message until I've made 5 posts that's why I haven't been able to send this message directly to downunder. Can anyone help me solve this problem?
thanks in advance

I just checked the link & it is bad. May I suggest you download a manual install copy of NA 2GB 880.3810.
[Please Register or Login to download file] Password: navitotal
Manually changing the map is a "piece of cake". You remove the old map folder & copy in the new map folder. Patch the navcore (if not already patched) & map with FastActivate Premium version.
Done.

Thanks tendriver, I'll give it a try. Any ideas on how to speed things up with linksave.in? It makes me wait about an hour between every (really slow) download. Not that I'm complaining about a free service

I was sick for a few days, but I checked the links again today and some are good while other can't be downloaded.
I will fix all non working or half working links tonight and add more maps.
The download speed and access problems are caused by Filefactory, it seems they are upgrading the servers.
I contacted FF and they sadi the work should be finnished by the end of this week.
So please check again in one or two days and the links should all work fine again.

Thank you for making such excellent software.
I have downloaded the New Zealand 880.3810 file. I have installed it onto my XL 340.
Do I have to activate the maps?
Im currently in Sydney (Australia) and cant test the NZ map yet.

1. The answer is in the title of this thread: "880 maps with automatic installer and FastActivate". Look in the installed NZ folder for a .meta file & a .meta.dct file. If you see both files, the map is activated.
2. Yes you can. Load a Point A to Point B route on the NZ map & run it as a DEMO.

Thanks!
I've just checked and can see the NZ.meta and the NZ.meta.dct files.
I'll try the point A to B some time tomorrow.
Also, if I had OEM Australia map on the TomTom, and then downloaded another Australian map, how will that work? will it come up twice or will it overwrite the OEM Australian map?

You can load as many maps as you have room for. They can all be Australia, if you so desire. The only issue is knowing which Australia map is which, when you want to switch them. This issue is handled by opening the .pna file in each map folder with notepad & editing the map name. Example: Australia 2GB 875, Australia 2GB 880.

OK, I managed to do a point A to Point B test on the NZ maps.
However I npticed that I no longer have any sound on my GPS. I've even tried changing it back to the OEM map and there is no audio on that map as well. Is there something I've done wrong or am I missing a step?
Also I can see that there are 2 NZ maps to download, which one should I download? I've downloaded the New Zealand 880.3865 file(s)

Actually there are 3 NZ 880 maps:
3810 = full featured.
3811 (not listed in post 1) = half featured.
3865 = no features.
Since your unit does not have a microphone, you don't need 3810. It can use the features in 3811, so use it rather than 3865.
Sound issue. Your 3 posts indicate that you are only updating your map. There is nothing in doing a map update that would cause you to lose your sound.
