The only thing I see is you are using the no featured 3865 map instead of the 3811 version.
Disregard the last 3 files.

i suppose always the navcore 8842 542199 is possible for these new cards.

Hi downunder,
i want to thank you for all the good work that is helping so many members.
I am a not so skilled so i haven't been able to make the most of your work.
I am trying to restore my australia map on my tomtom go 920. I sent numerous
requests to tomtom to help me but no response. I guess with my level of skills
you have to be more thorough and guide me through the process.
I hope you can show me the way.

There is not much to it is you go the simple and noob way ;)
If the map is your only concern:
Download map of your choice (AU 880.3810) from the first page.
Connect the TT to PC.
Unpack the downloaded files using Winrar and the supplied password.
Start the installer (Install.exe) and follow the instructions.
At the end in FastActivate klick all buttons starting from the left.
Disconnect and enjoy.

It seems like I have lost all voice functionality when i am using the maps. The maps itself works, however it doesnt tell me when i need to turn or what do do.


When I turn on the GPS, I can hear the TomTOm tune, however after that I can not hear any sound.

Is there a way I can format the GPS and start fresh?

The voices are not related to the map.
You can install the voices using Home or delete all from the device except the map folder, FastActivate and the ttgo.bif
Start home and update your device to the latest version offered.
Install all voices you need, use FastActivate to patch the Navcore.

So what I need to do is delete everything off the GPS except foe the following folders:

  • Map
  • FastActivate
  • ttgo.bif (file)

Also, I cant find the FastActivate file/folder. I can see an autoactivate.exe file though

I'm just backing up my GPS device now.

I'll give that a go now. Is there a place/website I can download voices?

If you only have Autoactivate on the device than you need to download FastActivate Premium so that you can patch the new Navcore.
You can find most premium and standard voices in the corresponding section ;)
If you only need standard you can download them using Home.

Great work Bro, I've downloaded the UK map 3810 but when I run FastActivate Premium it just hangs/gets stuck on "Patching navcore please wait". Would this be due to my navcore being 9.151? should I downgrade me core?
Any ideas would be much appreciated

Are you running FA Premium on your desktop or the root where your navcore is located?
