Hello. Possibly something is wrong with these files.
(Central_and_Eastern_Europe_880.3810 873mb, (Part.2)).
Ask your administrator to check. Apologize for English. Use googletranslit.

I have a better idea. You send a PM to the uploader, per his request in post 1.

Apologize, but I understand what you meant to say. What is PM?

I am still new here. . . I have not enough messages to send a private message. I hope that administrators have to respond to this message. . . Apologize for mistakes. Use google translation .

Thank you very much for the links.

I try your solution to update the map on my tomtom.

I have a tomtom "blue and me" designed especially for alfa romeo (mito and others ?)
The OS version is 9.016.695
The map that was installed at first and functional is the Europe v850.2802
The map that I download and install is the v880.3812 (is that the right one ?)
At first the tomtom can work with the application, my old map and everything on the internal memory.
So i buy a 8gb sd card to install a new map of europe.
I follow the procedure.
But the problem is the following : the gps can use the new map but he has no gps signal (it is normal, i'm in a bulding) and after 1m30 (that he doesn't have the signal, it reboot), and it do that everytime.
What can i do to solve my problem ?
If I remove my sd card, there is no problem, my gps use the old one and don't reboot everytime.
I already try to chkdsk /f my internal memory and the sd card.
I already try to remove the mapsetting.cfg file int the internal memory and the sd card but it doesn't change anything.
Do you have an other idea to help me ? Is the map version good for my OS ? Should I use another map ? What should I try ?

Sorry for my mystakes in english, it's not my native language.

A new map should neither affect the GPS recption nor cause a reboot.
The 880.3812 should work fine.
I don't think using the 8803810 map would make much difference in your case, but if you don't need the housenumber feature you can try.
Have you actually checked if the problem is still there when using the GPS outside to get a sat fix?

Thank you for your reply.
I don't think my problem is linked with the gps reception. I just say that it reboot everytime at the same time and can not be used in this state.
I can try the v880.3810, yeah, it is one solution.
I just follow this topic : http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?994-Tomtom-rebooting-problem-tips
and I don't try the third solution, it's possible that it solves my problem.
I will try your solution (try to use the gps outside, and hope that it can get a gps signal before 1m30.

Thank you very much for this topic and your answer. I'll come back later to write my (positive, I hope) results.

So I try a few things.

I go outside without using the sd card. No problem, the gps can find a signal and it doesn't reboot everytime, the only problem is that I can't register with the blue & me system of my car (but this is an another problem).

I go outside with using my sd card and the new map, the gpas can't find a signal before it reboots. Of course, I get the same problem of blue & me system.

I try to reboot it with my car charger but it doesn't change anything ...

I still can't see the relation to the new map.
Is the folder and file structure of the SD with the new map the same than the old?
Is there only the map on the SD or the Navcore too?

Sun Jan 08, 2012 1:50 pm

Me too, I can't see why without the new map, it works perfectly and with the v880, it reboots permanently.
This is the folder and file structure of the sd card :

The navcore is not on the SD card. I already try to put it on the sd card, but then the gps can't switch to the new v880 map, it throw an error.
