920 emu 940 no BT or Voice command

Postby doshow » Wed May 26, 2010 1:28 pm

Hello all, I was wondering if anyone had a clue to why I don't have voice command and BT after installing 9.051 and adding the emu 940?

Hi m8 what do you mean 940 emu do you mean "x40" as there is no "940" switch?

Do you have loquendoTTS voices installed if not you can install them through tthome

And also do you have these 4 files i think you will be missing the "highligted" .encode file if so copy it from a backup ;)

I screwed it up, the short of the long story; I was wondering if the 9.026 was any different than 9.051 emu x50 e.g. the touchie screen that 9.051 has. So I loaded 9.026 and discovered no dif, so I went to switch back to 9.051 emu x50... I screwed it up somewhere.

I spoke with "the master" tendiver he suggested I rebuild it with Home. So I formated it and built it back up to 8.35 and played with it for a while, then I replaced 8.35 with the 9.051 emu cab overwriting the common files, then installed the SE ttsystem & PNDNavigator files ONLY from the SE 9.051 ttsystem, and then generated a model.txt file containing x50 on the root.

Now all is fine with the 920 on 9.051 emu x50 except one thing....no BT, can't get it to link to the phone. It trys but, but almost imediately goes to "no phone detected"...it never succeeds :scratch_one-s_head_ . So the last thing I would like to see is the BT working again. I know the phone is working I tested it on anther device...and the tt used to work.

BTW Tendiver, Djc151084 et al... thank you for the knowledge and time you share...YOU ARE AWESOME!

Hey eskro,
I took a look at my 920 and compared it to your instructions and depictions...it already had that configuration .bak = 8351 .bif = 8351 and .ori = 9051. I was hoping you had something there! Thanks for trying!

I a running a 720 with 9026 X40 all works well Bluetooth and Handsfree opertion Good. If I switch to X50 Emu. I get the phone to connect but no sound through the TT. Same occurs with 9051 x50. If you want BT and Handsfree use X40 Emulation.

Cheers

x50 emu works very well with 9.026 on a 720 this is my configiration and all features work 100% , 9.051 is the same with the exeption on x50 emu there is no jukebox and on x40 emu there is no auto day night switch ;)
So i think you have a problem with your files, please check you have the 4 connect2internet files please.

What does this mean, you want a model.txt in the root of your device you do not need a text folder whatever you mean by that ???

Yes I have the 4 files. In X40 all works with exception of course to auto day night. I have a different 720 model to yours however. My 720 only has 512Mb internal where by your signature yours have 2 Gb. Maybe there is something in the hardware. You and I have been down this path before and there are others that have the same issue/limitations as I.
