GO 930 has started running slow

Postby fairytooth » Thu Jul 14, 2011 7:19 am

I have been running various updates and latest maps for years , all very successfully.

Went away recently and found my GO 930 running quite slowly, not just moving between pages but following the road changes. There seems to be spare RAM according to the version info (8.4Mb free).

9.150.554646.2, OS 541764 (4002, 21/7/2010)
64MB RAM (8.4 free)GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5274
Europe 870.3460

I don't know what you're asking for, but the 9.150 is outdatet.

9.150 is an official navcore for the XL IQ Routes2, which is a Mid Range unit. 9.054 is better suited for your GO 930, which is a High End unit. You should have 15-17MB Free RAM Memory. 8.4MB is low.

Hmm, I don't seem to be able to get any of the available 9.054 navcore versions to work. Am I doing something basic wrong? I have installed it on to an SD card as usual but it either jams or goes into restart cycle. Is there an SE version as I don't see any specific to a 930.

My apologies. Attached is a prepatched 9.054 ttsystem file.

Do you have any instructions for it? I tried the section on patched navcores but I'm a bit confused.

Unpack and replace the original files on your device with it.

I have had no luck with either 9.053 or 9.054 using the pre patched versions on my GO930. All jams and restart cycles.

I have reinstalled 9.135 (djc151084's auto installer works fine) and there is now 19MB free RAM showing so I will settle with that until I can get my head around the newer navcores

You must mean you reinstalled 9.150. Stick with what is working for you & don't worry about any other navcores.
