GO 930 new maps impossible to found

Postby blumav » Mon Dec 27, 2021 7:54 pm

i have a problem with my tom tom go 930
Fast activate tells me that 1080 maps are registered correctly but the navigator cannot find them
I have updated the meta
I patched the map
I patched the navcore
It only finds old maps 1025 and 1040
I formatted and updated bootloader to 5.5281
I tried with the navcore - 9.510.1-2039.CAB-navcore-GO
and then I format and tried the new navcore 9.541.2-2042-CAB-navcore-LE (1)
but it does not read 1080 maps

are they incompatible or am I doing something wrong ?

Configuration
Navcore 9.510 or 9.541 same result
Bootloader 5.5120 and now 5.5281 same result
Maps Italy 1025 it's ok
Maps Central Europe 1040 it's ok
I tried a little map of Iraq 1080 only 21mb it doesn't function

But which is the last number 1080_xxxxx ?

Read the compatible chart which maps are available for your old navigator

You should not have updated your bootloader...however, it's too late now

The maps you've been downloading are not compatible with your Go 930. As pe1agp has already said, you should always refer to the compatibility chart to find the correct map for your NAV2 device to prevent wasting your own time as well as everybody elses...everything you need to know is in the chart.

So, install the correct navcore linked above > download the following Italy 1080.101141 map > also download a fresh copy of FastActivate...and try again

Hi, sorry for the delay, my mistake was that I downloaded the maps version 4

For my tom tom the GO 930 I have to download versions 1 and 2 works very good

Version 3 pretty well, the only problem is that the POIs in the 2d view are not seen and sometimes even during the route, so better to use it with version 2 maps

I hope this thread can help others

thanks everyone for the help
