Thank you all for the help. I tried to clear flash ( 2 times), do a hard reset. Tried to patch but still did not work.

You can give the following procedure a try.

1) Take empty SD card from at least 8GB SDHC class 6 or higher.
2) Format the SD card Fat32 once slowly. If it's a new card then you can skip this.
3) Use NavCore 9.510 and unpack it (winrar o.i.d) and place the files and folders on the SD card.
Insert SD Card in the device.

4) Reset the device (at least 10 sec) and then run it till the notice "No Map found"
5) Use your chosen map (United_States_2GB 1020_9245). Unpack it and
Copy the new map to your SD card in its own folder.
When you open the map you see the individual files.
Not a map in a map.
6) Copy "FastActivate.exe" and file meta.txt to root SD card.

Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2
Done
7) SD card in the device. Reset the device (at least 10 sec) and Start the 930

Tried the following procedure.
Note: When I did the following steps I still had the US_CAN map and all other Navcore etc file on the tomtom internal drive.

2) Skipped this card formatting
3) Use NavCore 9.510 and unpack it (winrar o.i.d) and placed the files and folders on the SD card.
Insert SD Card in the device. I did not get the map not found message, just saw a picture of the road.
4) Reset the device (at least 10 sec)
Did not get "Map not found"
5) Used chosen map (United_States_2GB 1020_9245). Unpacked it and
Copied the new map to your SD card in its own folder.
This step went fine
6) Copied "FastActivate.exe" and file meta.txt to root SD card.
Ran "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2. Here get error TomTom.go.bif not found

When I restart the tomtom, all I see is a pic of road. Rest tomtom and restart still the same.
Renamed updated_meta.txt to meta.txt

Should I run option 1 to create update the meta.txt?

I deleted all thE files from the device. I copied the above provided navcore and the map I had. Used the Fast activate to patch the map and Navcore and it worked.

The only difference is that all the files are on my device rather than the SD card. I am still missing some steps to activate the map on sd card.

None of this makes any sense at all but ok, it works now

To activate the map on the SD card you should have:

1. ttgo.bif & the new map in it's own folder on the SD root
2. copy FastActivate.exe & an updated meta.txt into the map folder
3. run FastActivate.exe from there and select option 2

That should be simple enough...

Huh...what are you talking about?

We've previously put a lot of time and effort into trying to help you update the map and navcore and now you're back (with a very old map installed again) saying you 'cannot mamage or add POI's'

Nope, v995 was released in Aug-15

Hi, When trying to use the US_CANADA_1025_9387 map getting the error cannot use this map with this device. Cannot patch the navcore, getting DLL error.
Any help appreciated.

It's only USA_Canada_1025_9387 that has a meta code available so I'm assuming you mean that one?
