Hi,

Today updated the tomtom home and started getting the error "cannot use this map on this device".
Tried to Fast_Activate again. Update Meta.txt works fine. Patch navcore option, says it is already patched. Patch TomTom Home gives error DLL not found.
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 930
BootLoaderVersion=55277
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9541
ApplicationVersion=3145439.1
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
G:\United_States_2GB_955_6746\

Also when trying to use Operate my GO from the TOMTOM Home, gives error "This functionality is not yet supported for your combination of nav device, your device's application version and your computer OS"

Thanks in advance.

Being as you've upgraded your navcore, the system will need patching again with the latest FastActivate...everybody else has had to do the same

You may need to do a clean install if unsuccessful...

You can try the pre-patched DLL file to 'Operate my GO from the TOMTOM Home'

[Please Register or Login to download file]

Start telling wich map you try using. After about 6 years that you are around on this forum I expect much more info.

Extract the archive to:

C:\Users\User_Name\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\0vxvkj3b.default\extensions

The '????????.default' folder may be named differently to the example above

I tried using USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1020_9245 and United_States_2GB_1020_9245.
When trying to patch the TOMTOM Home getting the DLL error and then error "You cannot use this map on this device"

I started getting this erros after I took some tomtom update which was forced from tomtom home.

Thanks in advance.

For the USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1020_9245 is to my knowledges no meta availble so
trying is a waist of time.
viewtopic.php?f=180&t=20960

For the United_States_2GB_1020_9245 a meta is availble so you have to use this one.
So first activate this map and as Fredderf already said before patched you newly downloaded navcore (9541).
Keep away from TomTom Home and look if your device works with the 2 GB map.

If it works you can try to get TomTom Home working with it. But my advice keep away from Home.

Thanks. Will try the 2gb map. When you say keep away from tomtom home, means do not login to tomtom home when patching the map?

Make a connection between the 930 and the computer you don,t need Home at all for activating a map or activating the navcore.

Yes, as Holyhead has already said, forget all about TomTom Home for now...completely exit the program, it's not needed

1. Browse to the Go 930 drive in explorer and replace your old map folder with United_States_2GB_1020_9245 folder
2. Also delete any old copies of FastActivate from the drive too
3. Download the latest FastActivate:
ftp://FastactivateDownloadOnly2017:Fast ... tivate.rar
4. Extract the archive to the root of your device
5. Run FastActivate.exe from the root and select option 1 to generate a file called 'Updated_meta.txt'
6. Locate 'Updated_meta.txt' in the root and rename it to META.txt
7. Select option 2 to activate the map...then select option 3 to patch the new navcore > pause while waiting for successful patch message

Disconnect and test...what's the result?
